What we work on
- Stereo receivers and amplifiers from Marantz, Pioneer, Sansui, Yamaha, Technics, Kenwood, Luxman and others. Crackly controls, dead channels, blown output stages, lamp replacement.
- Turntables. Speed problems, motor and belt faults, tonearm and cueing issues, noisy or hum-prone wiring.
- Cassette decks and reel-to-reel. Belts, heads, pinch rollers and speed calibration.

Repair or full restoration
Some units just need one fault fixed. Others benefit from a full service: capacitors replaced where they have aged, controls and switches cleaned, bias and DC offset set to spec, lamps replaced. We’ll tell you which your unit needs and quote both where it makes sense.
Every unit is tested under load and listened to before it goes home.

Bring it in
Drop it at our Minchinbury workshop. For big TVs and heavy units, ask about in-home service.
Diagnose and quote
We find the fault on the bench and quote the repair. A minimum diagnostic fee applies and comes off your invoice if you go ahead.
Repair and collect
We repair it, test it under load and let you know it’s ready to collect.

Are parts still available for my old receiver?
For most classic hi-fi, yes. Many common parts are still made, and there are good modern equivalents. Rare parts sometimes need to be sourced, and we’ll tell you if that affects the quote.
Is it worth restoring a vintage amplifier?
For quality units, almost always. A restored classic often sounds better than a new budget amplifier and holds its value.
Do you repair valve amplifiers?
Ask us with the make and model. We’ll let you know before you bring it in.
Can you fix a turntable that runs at the wrong speed?
Yes. Speed problems are usually a worn belt, a motor or a speed control fault, and are generally very repairable.
