What you get
- A bench inspection by a technician, not a guess over the phone.
- A written report stating the fault, the likely cause and whether the item is repairable.
- A repair quote, or a written statement that it isn’t economical to repair.
- The make, model and serial number your insurer will ask for.
What it costs
We confirm the report fee when you book. Many insurers reimburse it as part of the claim — check with yours.
How to get a report
- Lodge the claim with your insurer and ask whether they need a technician’s report.
- Bring the damaged item to our Minchinbury workshop with your claim number. For large TVs, ask about in-home inspection.
- We inspect it and send you the report and quote to forward to your insurer.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to what people ask us most. Anything else, call (02) 9675 5511.
Will my insurer accept your report?
Our reports include the details insurers ask for: the item, fault, cause and repair quote. Every insurer is different, so check with yours what they need.
Can a power surge damage a TV that still turns on?
Yes. Surges often damage inputs, the Wi-Fi module or the power supply while other parts keep working. We test the whole unit, not just whether it powers up.
Do you repair the item after the report?
If it’s repairable and your insurer approves the quote, yes. Or you can take the report elsewhere.
