Common TV faults we repair
- Sound but no picture. Usually failed LED backlight strips. We replace the full backlight array with new strips, not just the one that failed.
- Won’t turn on or stuck on standby. Usually a power supply board fault or failed capacitors, often repairable without replacing the whole board.
- Turns on then off, or clicks repeatedly. Power supply, backlight driver or mainboard protection faults.
- Flashing standby light or boot loops. Mainboard or firmware faults. We run diagnostics and reload firmware where needed.
- No signal on some inputs, no sound, no Wi-Fi. Mainboard and input faults.
- Dim, patchy or flickering picture. Backlight, LED driver or T-con board faults.

Cracked screen? A replacement panel almost always costs more than a new TV, so we’ll tell you it’s not worth it. If the screen is intact, the fault is usually repairable.

How much does a TV repair cost?
It depends on the fault. Backlight and power board repairs are usually a fraction of the cost of a new TV. We diagnose it first and give you a fixed quote before any work starts. See pricing.
Is it worth fixing my TV?
If the screen isn’t cracked and the TV is less than about eight years old, usually yes. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair isn’t worth it. More in our repair or replace guide.
Do you use genuine parts?
We use genuine manufacturer parts wherever they’re available, including backlight strips, power supplies and mainboards.
My TV is still under warranty. Should I bring it to you?
Contact the manufacturer first — they’ll send it to their authorised agent. If we’re the agent for your brand, they’ll send you to us.
Can you fix OLED burn-in?
No. Burn-in is permanent damage to the panel, and a replacement panel usually costs more than a new TV.
